Apple Pie Bake-Off at the Farmer's Market

Fall is here, and Thanksgiving is on its way...what better time than now to practice your apple-pie baking skills? Anyone is welcome to bring a home-made apple pie to the farmer's market this Sunday. All pie-bearers receive a greenmarket tote bag just for participating, and the winner gets a tote bag brimming with market goodies (worth between $50-$70). Judging takes place at noon. After judging, everyone gets to eat pie!

Remember, the more pie brought in, the more we all get to taste-test! If you're interested in sharing your pie at the market, it's not too late to sign up. Let me know me at awhaley@greenmarket.cc so I have an idea of how many pies to expect.

If you're not interested in baking but are interested in eating, simply show up around noon! I will also be featuring apple recipes, apple trivia, and apple sampling at the Greenmarket tent.
