No, really.
The introduction to the wild parrots of Brooklyn begins, conveniently, at noon tomorrow at Brooklyn College's Hillel Gate.
Apparently, the nearby soccer fields are the Ellis Island for Brooklyn's parrots.
Just don't wear orange!
It's led by the good people of BrooklynParrots.com.

What's wrong with Parrots and why does everyone want to kill them?
I Love the Parrots at Greenwood Cemetery. I never knew they were also at BC, that's so cooool!
They used to congregate in a tree on Ditmas and Ocean Parkway a few years ago. They were certainly noisy.
They nest in the light towers around the field. Also check out the beautiful Campus Road Garden, if it's open, while you're there.
Why no orange?
I reside at Westminster & Newkirk, top floor. For the past several years, during warm weather, several parrots "hang out" on the window by the fire escape. It appears that they warm themselves in the sun.

=more on the parrots
Great shot of the parrots! They're wonderful. We briefly hosted a small colony of them in the locust trees across the street at Caton and Marlborough; then they moved on (or back). Wish they'd return!
Braised with herbs and wine they are excellent.
Actually you get more meat with pigeons. And they can be substituted for the rooster in coq au vin. . .
I Pooped On A Parrot One Time! Right There On A Bird Did I Lay Coil!
Why don't you leave your name, dimwit, so we can find you and poop on you too, as you lie coiled?
