Victorian Place Cultural Center

From Lori Raphael of the Flatbush Junction BID:

The legendary Harlem Blues and Jazz Band will perform at the Inaugural
Concert for the brand new Victorian Place Cultural Center on Sunday,
October 21, 3:30 PM, 83 Marlborough Road, Corner of Church Avenue.
This is an exciting first event for a new not for profit dedicated to
bringing arts events to Flatbush. See you there!

For tickets you can call, (718) 282-1596.
Anyone know more about the center?

Isn't this the address of Temple Beth Emeth?

It is the address of Temple Beth Emeth. While Victorian Place is a separate organization, they will use the Temple as their home venue for events and concerts.

If the Kings Theatre were renovated, this would be exactly the kind of events that could be held there. (see Brownstoner)

Anon 11:08: I agree it would be great to see the theater restored for performances.

Anon 10:38: "a new not for profit dedicated to bringing arts events to Flatbush" is from the VPCC announcement, not from the blog host or any of the commenters. It's just a mission statement for that organization. "FINALLY, arts for Flatbush", as if there haven't been any, is neither stated nor implied.

I'd never heard of "BCBC" before. I had to look it up. BCBC = Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College. THAT I've heard of. Not all of us who don't live in your world are morons.

PS: I have nothing to do with any of these organizations.
